Float Pool - CNA I

Summary

Performs a variety of duties relating to the patient and the environment, reporting observations to the nurse in charge. 

Education and Formal Training: High School graduate or equivalent.  Graduate of a state approved nursing assistant I program and current NC CNA certification required.  Current North Carolina Aide registry listing verified through the N.C. Division of Facility Services as a CNA I with no substantiated findings of abuse, neglect, or misappropriation of property.  Will have current CPR certification within six months of hire date.

Work Experience: Prior experience preferred but not required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required: Commensurate with completion of CNA training. Ability to successfully complete Alleghany Health’s orientation program.  Competent in delivering safe and effective patient care within the legal limits of certification and hospital policies and procedures.  Some ability to physically, mentally, and emotionally perform patient care activities.
